Optimus Education’s MAT Excellence Awards celebrate the dedication, innovation, and impact of multi-academy trusts across the country. Each year the judging panel, comprising sector leaders and experts, carefully review submissions to recognise outstanding practice and inspire others across the education community.

Dr. Fiona Aubrey-Smith highlighted why she has chosen to be involved:

The work highlighted by nominations in the Digital innovation award category represented high-quality, sustained and impressive dedication from those involved. Those shortlisted demonstrated excellence above and beyond, shining like a beacon on what can be achieved when young people, the schools' workforce, and the trust community come together.’

Paul Edmond, who is judging the Environmental trust of the year award, spoke about the increasing calibre of applications in sustainability:

Each year, we witness incredible innovation, dedication and impact from organisations striving to protect and enhance our environment. The calibre of applicants continues to rise, making the selection process both inspiring and challenging. It is rewarding to see the passion behind each project and the tangible difference these initiatives make in schools and communities. Recognising and celebrating these efforts helps drive further progress in sustainability. It’s an honour to support and spotlight those leading the way in environmental stewardship and positive change.'

‘The trust governance professional is the absolute linchpin to good governance, so it's wonderful to be involved in celebrating excellent practice by talented professionals.
